Wall Street opens with a fall after five sessions of rise

The New York Stock Exchange opened in decline at Wednesday's opening, at a time when oil prices rose again and US President Joe Biden travels to Europe to discuss sanctions against Russia for Ukraine.

The Dow Jones industrial index fell by 0.35%, the Nasdaq, with its technological component, lost 0.71%, while the expanded S&P 500 index - one of the largest 500 companies on the stock exchange - fell 0.7%. On Tuesday, Wall Street had concluded its fifth session of the last six higher by closing the Dow Jones with an advance of 0.74%, the Nasdaq 1.95% and the S&P 500 1.13%.
