This Wednesday, a distant cousin of Nora Dalmasso, the woman killed on November 26, 2006 in the city of Río Cuarto, will be one of the four witnesses who will testify at the sixth hearing of the trial. He has the victim's husband, Marcelo Macarrón, as the only accused as the alleged instigator of the crime.

Margarita Riera de Dalmasso, in accordance with the tax request for referral to trial, stated in the investigation of the case that she was “Nora's friend since she was 17 years old” and that the victim had some “discomforts that were not at all significant” in the marriage, and that “if it was not right in her marriage, she did not detect it”.

The technical court of the Criminal and Correctional Chamber of 1st. Nomination of Río Cuarto and the popular jury will begin at 9 o'clock with the round of witnesses that, in addition to Margarita, will feature the testimony of police officers José Palma and Sergio Ariel Liendo, who intervened at the crime scene with the collection of evidence.

Because of contradictions in their previous statements, it is not ruled out that both officers are subjected to confrontation.

As reported by the agency Télam, a notary surnamed Foglino was also summoned.

Yesterday, Juan, the brother of the victim, declared and assured that the Justice and Police investigated “wrong” hypotheses, superficial and with errors” throughout the process, which took 15 years since the crime. He paid for the theory of defense, pointing to businessman Miguel Rohrer.

In his presentation Dalmasso said that “from the beginning of the investigation, a bad path was taken with the theory of suicide” and, since then, “all paths were wrong”, since there was “a lot of trial and error”.

He argued that many of the photographs taken of his sister's marks on various parts of his body “were not analyzed in depth” and that “the evidence and crime scene were minimized.”

He also questioned that “(Daniel) Lacasse was not investigated”, the first lawyer who represented Macarrón, although he did not elaborate on the matter.

When asked by the prosecutor of the trial, Julio Rivero, about whether he knows what Macarrón is accused of, Dalmasso replied “yes” and then said that he has no evidence he can provide in this regard to get to the truth of what happened. In addition, he said that he asked his brother-in-law and believed in his innocence.

Another witness who testified was Jorge Grassi, Nora's cousin, who said he heard from his wife about the death and that he immediately moved to the victim's home.

Upon entering, the man said that he observed Nora's body on the bed in the upstairs room. He also said that “there was a good family relationship” with the marriage between the woman and Macarrón.

Also stated Malenka Gavazza, wife of Grassi, another person who entered the house while the body was still there.

She explained that it was only when she arrived at the place that she learned that Macarrón was at a golf tournament in Punta del Este and said that she was the one who contacted the widower to tell him what happened

“It was a normal marriage. I did not know any conflicts between them,” he told the consultation of lawyer Marcelo Brito, defender of Macarrón.

The fifth day of the trial ended with Silvia Magallanes, then partner of lawyer Daniel Lacasse, Macarrón's legal representative in the first stage of the investigation of the case. Yesterday he was mentioned as a suspect by Nora Dalmasso's brother.

The lawyer's former partner said that, as he drove past Nora's house, he saw many policemen and there he met Malenka Gavazza, who told him that Nora was dead. This witness reported that she immediately called her then partner Lacasse, who was at that time with Macarrón in Punta del Este, and asked her to contact the widower to inform him of the situation.
