La Burra could be identified after appearing in a documentary, recorded in 2019, in which part of the face and other features that, during the investigations of the authorities, were vital to individualize the captured person.

This criminal is completely uniformed, wearing a balaclava, referring to the criminal capacity of the Los Triana gang,” said the director of the DIJIN.

La Burra was brought before a guarantee control judge before whom the Attorney General's Office charged him with the crimes of concert for aggravated crimes for extortion, homicide, drug trafficking, weapons and forced displacement.

The prisoner has a long record that has been consolidated for more than 28 years of criminal life that began in the Cacique Nutibara Block of the demobilized United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, a structure in which he belonged until 1999.

In 2000, he joined the ranks of the Triana, who commit crimes in the Popular and Santa Cruz communes of Medellín and the 10th and 11th communes in Bello, being “appointed as leader of the sicarial component, due to his criminal experience in armament and fighting in the self-defence groups” as General Murillo explained.

In 2005, as General Murillo added, he was appointed criminal coordinator of the Pablo VI neighborhood, being responsible for ordering and coordinating targeted homicides, forced displacement, drug trafficking, among other crimes.

By 2018, he began to lead the armed component of the organization and, finally, in 2020, to be the second leader of this group after the capture of alias Andrés, reaching 60 men under his command.

On March 20, Yoimer Alexander Vargas Henao, alias Mauricio, leader of the Gulf Clan, was captured by members of the Anti-Narcotics Police who were following in his footsteps in dozens of cases of extortion, murder and drug trade.

In the early morning of Sunday, the Jungla Command arrived at the house of alias Mauricio, located in the Quebrada village, attached to San José del Urabá, in Antioquia's Urabá.
