The assaults on public transport in Mexico City and the State of Mexico have already caused citizens to get tired, to such an extent that some victims choose to risk their lives in order to thwart the robbery; however, they do not always succeed.
This happened last Saturday night, March 19, when there was a violent assault inside a combi on the Mexico-Puebla highway, on the boundaries of the municipality of La Paz and the Iztapalapa mayor's office.
According to the video from the unit's video surveillance camera, the events occurred at 20:18 hours, at kilometer 18+500, near the stop known as La Virgen, when three subjects boarded as if they were passengers. Seconds later, one of them drew a handgun, while the other two set out to strip wallets and cell phones.
But one of the passengers resisted the robbery and confronted the criminals, causing the armed thug to detonate the gun on at least three occasions; one of these bullets injured the face of one of the users who was glued to the side of the door.
In the midst of chaos and confusion caused by the shooting, coupled with the cries of terror of a woman trying to protect two girls, the criminals manage to beat and shoot the passenger who started the struggle, who is left on injured ground. However, the combi never stopped its march, so the criminal threatened the driver with a “Let me down, I'll kill you!”
The driver ignored it and it was then that the three assailants, already with the mutiny in hand, say they jump out of the moving unit onto the asphalt tape, at a considerable speed.
In the images of the video that was spread on social networks during the last few hours, it is observed that after the shock they suffer, passengers try to request an ambulance for the injured passengers.
