The challenges faced by Gabriela Tafur and Andrea Serna recording 'Desafio The Box'

On March 8, a new season premiered the The Box Challenge, which takes place in Colombia, in the so-called 'City of Cajas', created by the production team in Tobia, Cundinamarca. So far, the defiants have survived two cycles of competition and several have already endured hunger, discomfort, punishment and poor coexistence; however, little is taken into account that this program is also a challenge for its presenters.

This year Andrea Serna repeated as the presenter of the competition, she being the strong face of the show, who explains the games to the challenging ones and draws their attention if necessary. For her part, the kind face of the reality show was occupied by Gabriela Tafur who came to replace Daniella Álvarez who is focused on the recovery of her right foot; Tafur is in charge of surprising and taking the awards to the different houses, so whenever she arrives she emphasizes that “when she sees me it is because I bring you good news”.

Preparing to present the program is also a challenge for them, because superhumans are not just the participants, they themselves must reflect the discipline and work of what it means to be a superhuman. In an interview with Show Caracol, Gabriela Tafur stressed that, fortunately, in her personal life sport is already a habit, so the strongest training sessions to be the image of the program were not a problem.

“Fortunately, I already came with that permanent exercise of training, because it makes me happy and I like and complements my lifestyle. Every day I wake up wanting to train, Andre has seen me. The work here was to strengthen all that work that I was doing since before,” said former Miss Colombia.

Andrea Serna joined her statements, who already has the experience of physical training for The Box Challenge, “I have also always loved sports and exercise, but since I have been in the Challenge I have seen it differently and for other purposes, I focus more on other things such as what I should eat to train ”.

In the same way, Tafur stressed that she believes that she is a superhuman because of her efforts. “For everything I do, for the book, for my career, for fulfilling Caracol and the viewers, for fulfilling the defiant ones,” said the new host of the competition, who has received good reviews on social media.

While Serna gave a much more personal meaning to the word superhuman, pointing out that for her every action as a mother makes her feel that way. “Ever since I'm a mom, I tie that word to that. When my daughter admires me for something, I feel superhuman, super-powerful, super-mom, the word means a lot about what happened to me as a mother,” the presenter explained.

For their part, both women have shared on their social networks the challenges they face in carrying out their work, due to long hours of recording and distances with their families. For her part, it is a challenge for Andrea to keep her distance and be the bearer of the calls for attention and responsible for watching the challengers in the tests, she has several times shown on her Instagram that the atmosphere before competitors arrive is one of laughter and music, but she changes to a much less warm landscape when it is time of the test.

In the same way, last season it was a challenge to be away from her daughter; fortunately, the virtual classes due to the pandemic meant that the child could be in 'La Ciudad de las Cajas' with the presenter and perform her tasks with the production team that supports Serna in her work as a mother.

While for Gabriela Tafur, the same experience of presenting a program format like this, facing an audience that had already accepted Daniella Álvarez and earning that place has been a challenge for Gabriela Tafur. In the same way, facing the changes in weather in Tobia, Cundinamarca, and being the host of all the prizes and parties that contestants win, transmitting good energy to them is not an easy task when they have not eaten for days.
