A man survived by a real miracle after it was projected from his car due to a rollover that he suffered in the early morning of March 22 in the state of Michoacán.

The road accident occurred at 03:23 hours on the Ignacio Zaragoza bypass of the municipality of Patzcuaro. The security camera of a commercial establishment captured the moment when the driver lost control of his black van due to speeding, hitting the truck that separated both directions from the road, causing him to do at least three flips.

Such was the speed of the rollovers that the subject was projected until it crashed with the announcement of a commercial establishment, which was installed on the top floor of it. After rebounding, he fell to the ground several meters later.

According to the municipal authorities, emergency services arrived at the scene where they provided care to the man identified as Iván “S”, 32 years old, who was severely injured, so he was transferred to the Regional Hospital of Patzcuaro, and later, to one in the city of Morelia.

According to the medical report, Ivan is delicate after having hemorrhages and wounds on his legs, hips and head. It is known that he was driving in a considerable state of intoxication and speeding.

The video was shared on social networks and provoked a series of reactions after the shocking images.

According to figures offered in 2021 by the National Alliance for Road Safety (Anasevi), in Mexico there have been an average of 378,504 traffic accidents every year since 2015, of which 16,000 people were killed, about 44 fatalities per day. Four out of every 10 deaths in the country are pedestrians; in addition, seven out of 10 are vulnerable users (pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists).

“This figure is not the most alarming thing, the alarming thing is that annually more than 170,000 Mexicans are severely injured and that the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions estimates that every day in the country there are more than 14,000 traffic events, many of them causing serious injuries, hospitalizations. They are the second cause of orphanhood,” said Arturo Cervantes Trejo, president of the association at the time.
