Surco: Woman used her son to rob parishioners while praying in church

When it came to kneeling, a five-year-old boy took advantage of the distraction of the ladies who left their purses on the bench and reached in to steal their belongings.

A woman entered the San Roque church located in the district of Surco, with her youngest five-year-old son who she made rummage through the purses of the various church-goers to steal their belongings.

Before this crime, the woman talked to her little son, beckons him in silence and then proceeds to stretch her arm to the front wallet, in seconds, she already has someone else's cell phone and wallet in her purse, takes her little one's hand and leaves quickly.

A week later, Sofía Condori Vasquez, mother of the child, returned to the house of God believing that even he had not seen what he did, the truth is that the Police and the serenes had her surrounded for her to confess, but she chose to continue denying her criminal act.

“You can fool me, but not the Lord, he has seen you because you have approached there and you have seen that we all put our purses on the bank confident,” commented one of the affected ones.

They showed the security cameras and so he had no choice but to accept, he confessed that he was stealing because his son's health was serious. He needs a long treatment, he has congenital heart disease, the mother added.

This argument caused the victim not to proceed with the complaint. “I don't want to hurt you, not because of you, but because of the creature, because you are teaching him to steal,” he continued.

The lady proceeded to show the documents that evidenced the health of her son and in the end the injured party ended up being the child, since he received donations from the church and both he and his mother were banned from entering.

THE NEW FORM OF THEFT

Crime continues to take over in Lima and Callao, despite the fact that we are in the middle of a state of emergency. A few weeks ago, the premier, Aníbal Torres, proposed the new rule so that two people are not transported on a single linear motorcycle, which is not yet approved, but is under discussion.

That is no impediment for Peruvian criminals, as they are seeing how they can start operating without having to be both on one motorcycle and they have found a way to get away with doing their criminal acts on linear motorcycles.

La Molina has become one of the districts where this new modality has been tested. His procedure for stealing is as follows:

Both criminals mobilize, each on their own motorcycle, to watch who will be their next victim. When they find it, one of the rackers gets out of their vehicle and climbs into the other (where their partner is), they both advance towards their victim so that one of them gets off, steals the object in question and then goes to the place where they had left the first motorcycle, each one gets on their own and they retire as if nothing had happened.

“Although they run away on a single motorcycle, since they have the other one immediately in place so that they each occupy that position of withdrawing from the area, understanding that the alert was going to be made on two people on a motorcycle. So they go in pursuit like this because times, steps, places are short when both are in one,” a commander told Panamericana Television.

The commander assured that work is being done in conjunction with the Municipality of La Molina to prevent this type of robbery in the streets of the district.

“Compliance with the security policy of the Municipality of La Molina, together with the mayor, we have developed a very advanced work to rectify the lack of crime, what is the connotation of mobile events and all the compilation of the videos allows us to make patterns so that we can send them to the National Police” , ended.
