Sebastián Villa, who gave Boca Juniors victory over River Plate on March 20, stated that his dream is to play in Europe. Although the interest in taking a leap in his sports career is not new, it is striking that he expresses it, because he had already done so and it brought him problems.

In conversation with La Red radio, the Colombian attacker said that “my dream is to play in Europe”, and, although there is nothing wrong with it, his statement could cause discomfort in the Boca world. In 2021 Villa had options to play for Bruges (Belgium), but the Argentine club rejected her as it did not meet their interests. In retaliation, the player stopped attending some training sessions, which is why he received criticism from the Argentine press during the rest of the year.

The situation worsened when the 25-year-old took more time allowed by the Xeneize leadership to be in Colombia, due to his mother's difficult health condition. It turns out that some videos circulated on social networks in which he was seen at a party with urban music singer Ryan Castro.

At La Red, Villa also commented on why he didn't talk to the press once last Sunday's superclassic ended, from which, with his scoring, he came out as one of the protagonists:

Despite the inconveniences, the talented attacker acknowledged the support that the team has given him to overcome them, and, in addition, he thanked for how decisive the training has been to improve his definition, perhaps what he was questioned at some point more.

“I have improved a lot in the definition aspect, I have been very ventilated in that regard. I have the confidence of my colleagues and that is very important to me,” he concluded.

About the dream of arriving on the old continent, the representative of Villa, Rodrigo Riep, also spoke two days after the superclassic.

“Villa is fine, happy and in the place she wants,” said Riep in dialogue with the program How are you doing? by Radio Cologne (AM 550). “Of course at some point he has the illusion of going out,” the representative continued, although he later clarified: “When he puts on Boca's shirt, he leaves his maximum and tries to do what is best for the club.”

Regarding his performance in the last superclassic, he stressed: “It is important that Villa was able to convert. It's good personally for him, we're very happy. He is confident and eager... it is a great joy that things happen”. And promptly to the rude defensive errors that led to Boca's goal, he said: “It was by virtue of Sebastian and his speed. It was easier to run than to slow down and he tried to take it off. The ball was in the middle and he was able to steal it.”
