The United States Government announced that they sent the formal request to Colombia for the extradition of Álvaro Fredy Córdoba, brother of the senator elected by the Historical Pact Piedad Córdoba. The decision will be communicated to Mr. Córdoba in the cell he occupies in a ward of La Picota prison.
Cordoba is required in a court in the US country for alleged links with drug cartels. The congresswoman is also facing prosecution for the Farcpolitica case and for business with Alex Saab, but she had previously accused that the trial against Álvaro was an attack on her political campaign.
