A few months ago, Netflix announced the addition of its mobile video games section, which allows all its subscribers to access a catalog of titles without having to pay for a new membership. Now it's going to add three new options for all gamers who already have the platform downloaded.
With these latest additions, Netflix already has 17 games in its section and stands out for several features: they don't have advertising, they don't generate extra charges and don't involve in-app purchases.
All users who already have their membership on the platform, can find in the application a row dedicated especially to this section and from there they can see which games are available (which will also depend on the characteristics of the devices themselves).
This Is A True Story (available from March 22)
This game was created by Frosty Pop in collaboration with charity: water - a non-profit organization that provides drinking water to people in developing countries - and has as its starting point one fact: 771 million people on the planet do not have access to safe drinking water.
This Is A True Story is presented as a narrative puzzle that focuses on the true story “of a woman from sub-Saharan Africa who struggles every day to get water for her family”.
Based on an aesthetic focused on hand-painted landscapes, the game was built on the basis of interviews and experiences that are true and that allow us to graph the difficulty that many people face in accessing a basic element.
Shatter Remastered (available from March 22)
With a completely different proposal, Shatter Remastered is inspired by the classic game of breaking blocks and is a new version of Shatter, the game that was released in 2099 for PlayStation 3.
“Widely recognized as the one that redefined the block breaking genre, this game has many levels with incredible interactions, powers and special attacks. A game that is easy to learn, but very difficult to master”, they presented.
In this case, players will find a version that is optimized and updated for mobile devices and that includes a global leaderboard so that users can compare its performance with that of the best “blockbreakers” in the world.
Into The Dead 2: Unleashed (pronto)
Into The Dead 2: Unleashed does not yet have a release date, although from the official Netflix website it was anticipated that it will arrive soon. This game will be the first shooter (shooting game) that the platform adds to its catalog.
“Do your best to save your family and survive the zombie apocalypse in this combination of shooting and fugitives. In this sequel to the hit action game Into the Dead, a group of armed players must ward off the growing zombie threats as they cross dangerous terrain,” they anticipated.
The game will have different chapters that will feature a variety of phases (oil fields and military bases) and challenges (such as burning forests and snowy peaks). But, in addition, players will be able to unlock and upgrade their weaponry, which will also feature a wide variety, from hand-to-hand combat weapons to explosives.
