Chocolate Brigadeiros, also known as Negrinhos, are a traditional Brazilian sweet that is usually made for birthday parties or some special celebrations. These little sweets look like a chocolate truffle, but their texture is much more caramel and soft.
Precisely, the key to the brigadeiros is their texture, since they are so soft that they seem to melt in the mouth, leaving those who try them wanting more.
If you want to learn how to prepare this traditional Brazilian sweet known as Chocolate Brigadeiros, continue reading the following note and follow the simple recipe that we leave you.
INGREDIENTS
-400 grams of condensed milk
-1 tablespoonful of butter
- 3 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
-Chocolate dragees to decorate
PREPARATION
1. The first thing we'll do is have all the ingredients ready and ready to go. Now we will put in a saucepan over medium-low heat condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder. Mix everything well until it is integrated and stir until it is thick or less between 10 to 15 minutes. To check if it is ready, we stop moving for a few seconds and tilt the pan a little. If the mixture separates from the bottom and does not stick, it means that it is on point.
2. Now, we spread a bowl with butter and pour the mixture into it to cool.
3. Once the mixture is cold, we take small portions of the pasta we have made and we will shape them into a ball, as if it were truffles.
4. On a separate plate we will place the chocolate dragees to pass through the balls once they are made so that they are covered.
5. To serve the brigadeiros we can use small paper capsules, like those sold for truffles.
TIPS
-So that the balls do not stick in your hand when shaping it, you can wet your hands with water or smear them with a little butter.
-When they get cold, the brigadeiros harden. That's why the trick is to find the exact spot where they are hard on the outside and soft on the inside, since this is the key to the recipe.
VARIANTS OF THE BRIGADEIROS
The traditional recipe of the brigadeiros is the one made with chocolate, however there are variants that bathe them with grated coconut, colored groats, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, etc. At children's parties, brigadeiros with different covers are usually served on the same tray to give a more colorful and fun look to the decoration of the table.
