Jürgen Klopp again referred to Luis Díaz, the brand new contract of English football in the winter transfer market. The German coach referred to the reasons why he stared at the far left, his ease of adapting to Liverpool and what he expects from him not only what remains of the campaign, but in the long run.

In conversation with Sky Sports, the technical director of Los Reds commented that they decided to bet on Lucho because of the category he demonstrated throughout 2021, both in Porto and in the Colombia national team, and thinking about how easy it could adapt to the club, especially because of his style of play: vertical, dynamic, where the speed, but also the technique.

Klopp, who has led Colombians such as Adrián Ramos, at Borussia Dortmund, also commented that the speed with which the man from Barrancas (La Guajira) was due to the good moment he arrived at the team, being the goal scorer for Porto, for example, and one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. That and the confidence they have been giving him, even with the title in important matches, such as the Carabao Cup final.

“Usually, that's really hard, but since he didn't have to change his style, we have a guy with a lot of confidence. I was in a very good time with Porto, playing well for Colombia, so he came full of confidence. We try to make sure you don't lose that, we want it to be natural,” he added.

Despite the good moment that the cafetero is going through, with two scores wearing the shirt of the Merseyside club, the coach said that his football level must not only be maintained, but improved, and, for this, we must go easy.

Klopp added that, as with Lucho it cannot be understood since they don't speak the same language, some players have served as intermediaries, such is the case of Brazilian Fabinho or Thiago Alcántara. He also acknowledged that the Colombian is catching up with English in order to strengthen communication both with him and with the environment in which he now lives.

“With Luis, for obvious reasons, there is a language problem with me. I don't speak Spanish and he doesn't speak English. He's learning. I don't, so we'll have to wait until his English improves. Until then, we have a lot of people here who are in constant conversations with him. But obviously everything flows quite naturally. That's why he plays the way he plays,” he said.

Liverpool's next match will be on April 2, for the Premier League against Watford, where Juan Camilo El cucho Hernandez plays. It will be after the double day of qualifying, in which Lucho will play with the Tricolor in search of a place for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
