In the last few hours, the school bus accident that would have overturned in the municipality of San Andrés has been announced through different media. Santander, leaving some fatalities and others in a delicate state of health.

This is a school route that was set up by the municipality's own mayor's office, reducing the need for transport for children and young people from nearby towns, thus preventing them from having to walk so many kilometers to go to school and back home.

From the outset, local authorities have been aware of the situation, although the community was the first to give a helping hand to the affected children by communicating to rescue agencies, authorities, etc.

On Wednesday morning, the cause of the accident is still unknown. Although some of the hypotheses speak of the state of the road, Santander Governor Mauricio Aguilar came out to deny this by saying that arrangements had recently been made in this area.

However, he referred to the conditions of the vehicle that was intended for the transfer of children. Faced with this, it has been said that a mechanical failure apparently occurred that shut down the car, but it is still the subject of investigation by the authorities.

For many parents it is still incomprehensible what happened, they still don't explain how everything could have happened. This was reported by several parents lamenting the lives of the children who were lost and calling for solidarity on the part of their countrymen.

One of the mothers, whose children were saved, although they have injuries and are under medical observation, told how she found out about the accident:

So far there is still talk of 6 deaths and 17 wounded and investigations will continue to come up with a response that clarifies what happened.

One of the relatives of a deceased minor blamed the poor state of the road, saying that these municipalities have them forgotten and incommunicado, having to make trips of up to 3 hours in order to reach other areas.
