There is widespread dismay within the Boca Juniors squad of Cali, club of the second division of Colombian professional football, after this Sunday, March 20, the team traveled from Valledupar to Bogotá for their return home to Cali with aerial complications involved.

Boca faced Valledupar FC on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Armando Maestre stadium in the capital of Caesar and after losing 2-1 to the Valduparenses they set out to travel to Bogotá to return to the capital of Vallecaucana, however at that time the crew of the flight in which coaching staff were mobilized and footballers lived total uncertainty and fear.

According to statements submitted by the technical director of Boca, Alejandro Guerrero, the aircraft had technical failures leaving the Valledupar airport. In dialogue with the Antena 2 station in Cali, the helmsman of the second division team told what those moments of terror were like after the plane traveled with failures in one of the engines, which did not allow him to take the normal flight height, in addition to having constant sudden movements.

The strategist also stated that while the faults arose they did not want to tell them the truth, but that everything was revealed until the crew landed in Barranquilla, where several fire trucks were waiting.

Guerrero thanked God for bringing them alive to their destination, despite the difficult times they lived on board the aircraft:

This is how the coach of Boca Juniors de Cali referred to the difficult episode experienced in the airspace of the Colombian Atlantic coast:

Guerrero also acknowledges that on many flights they have had to suffer turbulence, but this time the movements of the plane seemed more abrupt than usual:

During times of concern, the coach says he thought about his family and clung to God to take them alive to the capital:

In Boca are experienced footballers Nelson Ramos and Juan Guillermo Domínguez, both recognized for their past at Millonarios FC and who lived the aerial experience firsthand.

At this time, the team is last in box 15 with only three points added in three draws and five losses so far in the BetPlay I 2022 Tournament.

Already eliminated from the 2022 BetPlay Cup, the Xeneize club will finish its games of the month this Saturday, March 26 at the Olympic Stadium Pascual Guerrero against Tigres FC on the 10th of the 15th date of the Colombian promotion championship.
