After more than 10 hours of national strikes in different parts of Mexico, the Mexican Alliance of Transport Organizations A.C. (AMOTAC) agreed to lift the blockades on federal highways starting at 6:00 p.m. on March 22 and hold work tables with federal government officials.

Gradually, local authorities reached different agreements with representatives of Amotac and managed to slow down the progress of the demonstrations, which for a moment threatened to reach Mexico City if security requirements were not met.

“After the dialogue with various authorities, with whom we will meet tomorrow Wednesday; to resolve the issues related to our list of demands, we inform that we are holding our demonstration,” the organization published through its social networks.
