The APT Buenos Aires Master was officially inaugurated when the presentation event was held at the Monumental Stadium of Club Atlético River Plate. After its successful visit to Paraguay, the APT Padel Tour circuit makes its landing in Argentina for the first time in the 2022 season with this international competition that will be held from March 27 to April 3 at the Núñez club.
The first date of the APT Padel Tour in the country, which distributes USD 120,000 in prizes, will have figures who will compete for the title such as the top ten Argentines Maximiliano Arce, Franco Dal Bianco, Federico Chiostri and Gonzalo Alfonso, as well as the participation of international players, such as Brazilians Julio Julianoti, Stefano Flores and Portuguese Miguel Oliveira.
“It is a pleasure and a dream that the APT will be in one of the most iconic places in the world such as the River Monumental here in Argentina. Everyone knows the relationship I have with the country for more than 30 years and it is also the home of many players,” said Fabrice Pastor, CEO of Monte Carlo International Sports and president of the APT Padel Tour, during a press conference held this Wednesday.
Pastor was accompanied in the presentation by the director of the festival, Gabriela Vaca Guzmán, as well as the players Adrián Allemandi, Gonzalo Alfonso and Federico Chiostri, who are eager to show their potential in the River Plate micro stadium in the presence of the best paddles of the international ranking.
For her part, the director of the APT Buenos Aires Master, Gabriela Vaca Guzmán, considered that the atmosphere will be unbeatable: “Since Fabrice Pastor offered me to organize this tournament in Buenos Aires, I didn't hesitate to do it at the River Plate Athletic Club, where more than 50 sports and social activities are practiced. The APT Buenos Aires Master will have a great framework as the padel that is growing a lot worldwide deserves. We are proud to collaborate in this growth. This is just the beginning of a great road that we will continue to follow.”
The pre-qualification phase will begin on Sunday 27 March while the main draw is scheduled from the 29th with the 16th finals, where the crosses of Blasco-Gutiérrez vs. Eyebrows-Huts, as well as Restivo-Ramos vs. Almada-Frugoni, Cunha-Flores vs. Egea-Ozan, Barrera-Britos vs. Soliverez-Abud, or the duel between Aguirre-Torre and Andenmatten -Gaitan.
