Call of Duty will not yet be exclusive to Xbox despite Microsoft acquisition
After Microsoft announced the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, several rumors have spread that some franchises such as 'Call of Duty' will no longer be available for the competition, PlayStation, however, has begun to transcend that there will be no big changes.
Users can relax, because according to Bloomberg, Activision has promised that its next three installments of Call of Duty will be available on both Xbox and PlayStation.
This means that for the time being this franchise will not be exclusive to either company despite the historic acquisition of Microsoft, and previous agreements will be respected.
The agenda for 2022 is planned to arrive on PlayStation 'Modern Warfare' by Infinity Ward from the 'Call of Duty' franchise, also the next one from Treyarch and a new battle royale version of 'Call of Duty: Warzone'.
It should be noted that it is possible that the situation will change when the agreement between Activision and Microsoft is closed, which could be on June 30, 2022, when the Xbox owner's fiscal year ends.
If so, when the Activision transition has been completed, new agreements may be made that no longer include PlayStation and some titles will become exclusive to Xbox and PC such as 'Starfield'. In any case, the technology company will give timely warnings to the players.
