After a difficult elimination challenge, Jair Romero left 'MasterChef Celebrity' amid tears

In the test, the main ingredient was milk cream, and although some were sure of their dishes, others were 'cracked' by the chefs

This Tuesday, a new elimination challenge was held in 'MasterChef Celebrity': Carolina, Carlos, Aco Pérez, Tostao, Jair Romero and Ramiro Meneses faced another challenge that had, as the main ingredient, milk cream. Those sentenced could make sweet or salt preparations as long as they had that central element.

The celebrities had 60 minutes, and while Tostao hinted that he would make a typical dish of his native Chocó, Carlos showed that he had a dessert in mind. At the end of the test, several had doubts with their preparations, especially Tostao and Carolina Gomez: the first because she felt that a couple of grains of rice were not at the ideal point, while the actress was doubtful about the proper use of milk cream.

Thus, everyone had to present their preparations and the first was Jair, who brought a 'Dessert for children', dedicated to his children. Although it looked good at the beginning, with the passing of the latter it spread over the plate, generating reproaches in the juries, especially Jorge Rausch.

“The sweet spot is perfect”, celebrated the Bogotano, but the dessert did not set. Nicolás de Zubiria, for his part, criticized that the base, which should be composed of crushed biscuit, had large pieces.

Carolina Gómez came very close to saying goodbye to the competition unexpectedly, because just when she was going to take her plate to the lectern, she tripped and her plate was on the verge of falling to the ground. However, he managed to take it in front of the jurors: 'Salvation', was the name given to that cassava stew with the addition of bacon to give it crispness. Nicholas gave it a good grade, but questioned its thickness due to starch.

Aco Pérez was the next to pass, presenting a rice pudding called 'An afternoon in Valledupar' which evoked his childhood, and even though Chris Carpentier said he was “good”, Rausch needed a touch of coastal cheese.

“Listen to your mother,” the chef added, and then Perez apologized to his mother in front of the camera. Another one who received more flattery than criticism was Ramiro Meneses; in fact, he was one of the most applauded when it came to evaluating the dishes.

His was called 'Brothers', and it consisted of a whole experience that began with intrigue at first, because his bowl was covered by a layer of biscuit. When he broke it, Rausch found a mushroom cream that, along with that crispy lid and the additions he proposed (bacon, coriander and sesame). In response, the man from Bogota grabbed the actor's cheek, a sign that he had excellent preparation.

Tostao also received praise for its 'clavao rice', a typical preparation of its land that is made with cheese and which, in this case, functioned as a bed for a portion of chicken breast dipped in a sauce with milk cream. Nicolás de Zubiria found it so delicious that he missed not finding a separate container with more dressing, and Carpentier told him that, next time, he should balance the portions of each food.

Carlos closed the evaluation with a flourish, because his dessert, with a chocolate cover and a creamy center, fell so well in the jury that he was sent straight to the balcony, and once up, the actor celebrated with his teammates, especially with Chicho Arias.

“It has the best dessert in the competition,” said Jorge Rausch.

The competitors went from joy to tears, as the juries chose Jair as the one eliminated from the competition. The three agreed that it was because of “technical errors”, and in the midst of tears, the guajiro said goodbye to the most famous cuisines in the country.
