The New York Stock Exchange opened slightly in the green on Tuesday, as rising oil prices slowed and the bond market continued to tighten following the more aggressive stance of the Federal Reserve (Fed) on interest rates.
Around 13:00 GMT the star index, the industrial Dow Jones, advanced by 0.62%, the Nasdaq, with its technological component, rose 0.67%. On its side, the expanded S&P 500 index - one of the 500 largest listed companies - gained 0.64%.
On Monday, the Dow Jones fell 0.58% to 34,552.99 points. The Nasdaq lost 0.40% (by 13,838.46 units) and the S&P 500 stagnated at 4,461.19 points (-0.04%).
