If he arrives at the English club, he will be teammates with Davinson Sanchez. His bond with Vecchia Signora expires next June

Although the Italian media assume Juan Guillermo Cuadrado's contract renewal with Juventus, the truth is that the Colombian still does not stamp his signature at the end of the document, a fact that generates the interest of other clubs in him. The Premier League are asking about the versatile player who will wear the Tricolor in the next matches by knockouts.

Rudy Galetti, a renowned journalist in Italy, especially for his knowledge when it comes to signings, reported that Tottenham Hotspur, where fellow Colombian Davinson Sánchez plays, would seek to have Cuadrado in its ranks next season. Of course, he clarified that the interest of the person born in Necoclí (Antioquia) is to realize his continuity in the whole of Turin, where he has been staying for seven years.

It is worth remembering that Cuadrado, at 33 years old, already has experience in English football, although it is not exactly the best. Between 2014 and 2015 he played for Chelsea, but failed to consolidate. From there, he arrived at Juventus on loan, although then Vecchia Signora completed the purchase of his token.

The fact that the Spurs are interested in the coffee maker has to do with the fact that DT Antonio Conte already knows him, since in charge of Inter Milan he faced him last season in Serie A, and to his outstanding 2021/22 season, in which, in addition to being one of the captains of Juve, he has five goals and four assists, playing as a right-back.

“Practically everything would be done for the renewal of Juan Cuadrado, who is fixed at Juventus. It will last for two years, until 2024, with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros plus bonuses,” Gazzetta dello Sport reported on March 8. We will have to wait if the employment relationship does indeed extend.

Cuadrado's reality with Juventus is very different with the national team. Although he is one of the benchmarks in the national team, he did not dazzle in the most recent qualifying matches, which is why he was one of the most questioned by both the fans and the sports press. And it's no wonder, today he is close to being eliminated from the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup.

Despite criticism of the footballers for the lack of attitude, for not delivering everything on the court, the Antioquian expressed what it means to wear the Tricolor shirt and the frustration after being on the verge of the world championship in Qatar.

On his Instagram account, the Necoclí (Antioquia) native recently shared a photo of his teammates in Barranquilla, accompanied by the message: “It has been a very difficult road to go, God only knows the frustration, sadness and disappointment we feel at not seeing the results we want. God only knows how much we love this shirt that represents a country I love, but even though it hurts so much, I keep raising my hands to you Lord Jesus, because my worship does not depend on what you give me but on who you are, my Lord, my Savior.”

The next commitments of the tricolor team will be on March 24, against Bolivia, and on March 29, against Venezuela. If he wins both matches and whether he is given other results, his qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup will depend.
