He pronounced himself. Rodrigo González, host of Amor y Fuego, spoke about the first Peruvian film made for Netflix. According to the popular 'Peluchín', the film only featured the beautiful landscapes that exist in Peru; however, it lacked a plot.
Likewise, the television presenter strongly questioned Tondero, the production company in charge of making the film. For him, although this production company has a wide catalog of actors and actresses, it has quite bad productions.
“All Tondero's films have the same silly script, but hey, our country is in the eyes of the world and that's good. I feel sorry that with the amount of budget that Tondero has and the call for national actors and actresses, he has such bad films,” he said.
On the other hand, Rodrigo González made it clear that he has nothing against Stephanie Cayo, as it seems to him that his whole family has talent, but he didn't like his role in 'Until we meet again'.
“I love the Cayos, they seem like a talented family to me. This Saturday we were with Salvatore (her boyfriend) watching Netflix, both of us, he has a lot more patience than me, I get bored easily, not 10 minutes and I turned it off. I couldn't stand it, I said, 'I'm not going to waste two hours of my life watching this stupidity, '” he added.
The host of Amor y Fuego also took advantage of the fact that he was talking about this topic to recommend that Tondero hire better writers, since the stories in his films are rather vague.
“It seems to me that Tondero must spend a lot with the actors he calls, that he gives international stature to his film, but he must spend more on librettists, because his stories are poor,” he said.
In addition, 'Peluchín' pointed out that he was tired of domestic producers asking Peruvians to go to theaters to consume their film to support them, but he does not agree with the product they finally deliver.
“I am also tired that people who are charged exactly the same for watching a Hollywood movie, I mean cinema, say that we have to support national cinema, of course we have to support national cinema, what we cannot do is that we endure and bear to pay to see any sucker,” he said.
To conclude, Rodrigo González gave his appreciation of the Netflix film and stressed again that he didn't like it at all despite the fact that Machu Picchu came out.
“I can't say that the film is cute because Machu Picchu appeared. No, I didn't like it (Until we meet again) I put the signature on it, I didn't like it. He's a sucker,” he said.
