On March 10, an edition of State of Play was held that, over 20 minutes, presented previews of some titles already announced and also made some revelations. Among the novelties that were shown that day, the release of Return: Ascension was anticipated.

The expansion of the PlayStation 5 exclusive, in addition to being part of a free update for all users who already own the title, introduces two game modes: a co-op mode and an endless mode in which players will be destined to die, although they must discover how far can move forward.

Through a publication they made today on the official PlayStation website, they highlighted some of the aspects that this expansion will include and detailed how players can access the new features.

First of all, they stressed that the way to add a second player to the games is through the Chronosis, but - in addition - you must necessarily have a PlayStation Plus subscription.

In the publication they explained that the goal of the multiplayer experience is to enable users to get help - especially at times when they represent a challenge - and progress in the game. “The host retains progress, and the guest player increases his scout ranking and unlocks weapon attributes and database entries,” they detailed.

In the publication they also explained that the addition of a multiplayer mode represented a technical challenge, but they were also forced to work on different aspects related to design, so that the second player can dynamically integrate into the host's world. They also highlighted that they expanded the main interface to make teammates easier to track once they are already in the game.
