During the tour, the health personnel motivated the population to take the third dose against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, reminding them to take it three months after receiving the second dose.
For his part, the head of the Diris Lima Centro, Luis Valverde, said that San Juan de Lurigancho, La Victoria and El Cercado de Lima are the districts with the largest population pending the third dose; and that is why vaccination sweeps are carried out.
“We are implementing a vaccination sweep in the workplace, emphasizing the third dose to reduce the possibility of mass contagion among the population and contribute to the economic reactivation of the commercial emporium,” he said.
According to the vaccination brigades, many people do not get the third dose because they refuse the AstraZeneca vaccine.
In this regard, the director of the Diris Lima Center recalled that “all the vaccines that are applied have proven to have a good degree of efficacy and effectiveness”.
