Last week the film 'Until we meet again' was released, which becomes the first Peruvian Netflix production by Tondero. The feature film stars Peruvian director Stephanie Cayo and Spaniard Maxi Iglesias.

The film tells the story of Salvador Campodónico, a successful Spanish businessman whose family owns a large hotel corporation in Spain. For the company's first international project, it flies to Cusco, the navel of the world. There he will meet Ariana, a backpacker and adventurous woman who wants to continue developing her life in complete freedom.

One of the points in favor of the film is that it shows quite attractive landscapes of Cusco, Puno and Paracas. Precisely, most of the production takes place in the 'navel of the world', where the protagonists travel through different destinations.

One of the places that attracted the most attention was some turquoise hot springs where Salvador and Ariana arrive. If you want to go sightseeing in this area, here are all the details.

The Cocalmayo thermal baths are located in the district of Santa Teresa, in the province of La Convención, in Cusco. Less than a year ago they reopened their doors to Peruvian and foreign tourists due to the covid-19 pandemic. It is part of the Amazon route to the archaeological park of Machu Picchu.

HOW TO GET THERE AND HOW MUCH DOES

From the district of Santiago (Sacristanniyoc street), buses leave that will take you to Santa María, the first stop. The cost of mobility is 30 soles. Remember that you must follow all biosafety protocols. Then you have to take another mobility to Santa Teresa, which costs on average 10 soles per person. That trip lasts about 10 soles.

From Santa Teresa you have two options, go by car (10 minutes and 3 soles per person) or on foot (30 minutes).

It should be noted that users must make a reservation at the Tourist Office (on the first floor of the municipal premises of Santa Teresa), through a telephone call and deposit to Banco de la Nación. Admission to the thermal baths is worth 5 soles for domestic adults, 1 sun for children up to 5 years old and 10 for foreigners.

Upon arrival at the site, visitors must comply with health protocols, biosecurity measures (wear a mask and face shield, keep their distance) and circulate through marked areas. The service is in shifts, between 6:00 and 12:00 and then from 12:00 to 20:00. At the entrance they have a hand washing station and disinfection and signage.

In addition, a retaining wall was built on the edge of the last pool, which was affected by the flood of February 23 last year due to a landslide from the Salkantay snow.

IN LOVE WITH PERU

Actor Maxi Iglesias used his Instagram account to recommend the film and highlight the beauty of Peruvian landscapes. “I fell in love with the country, with the team and with a character, Salvador, who, like much @s by nostr @s, lives closed in himself and his obligations, unconnected, but not with him, but with his work and who thanks to the character of Ariana (played by Stephanie, great companion, better person) who also lives with his own and finds the magic of sharing and connecting by taking away the fears of taking root and trusting what comes, together,” he wrote.

He was also very grateful to director Bruno Ascenzo for trusting him even though he is a foreigner, as he knew perfectly well that production would be very important because he is exclusive to Netflix.

Very grateful for all that this film has given me, the commitment of its director Bruno Ascenzo for me, from the production company Tondero to dare me, as a foreigner, in the first Peruvian Netflix production and this trip of the last year that comes to an end with you @s now that it is released,” he added.

He finally invited all his followers to watch the film that was shot in the middle of the pandemic with different restrictions, so it makes it very special for him. “I hope you like it and fall in love, its landscapes, its people, its traditions, or “simply” its essence, made from the love and desire to take an entirely Peruvian project forward in the midst of a pandemic,” he concludes.
