Burgerville: a cultural and gastronomic festival to enjoy the best burgers

An appointment for April 1, 2 and 3 at the El Chicó Museum in Bogotá

After the success of BogotáEats A Cielo Abierto, next April 1, 2 and 3 will arrive at the El Chicó Burgerville Museum, a festival that will be full of burgers and live music, and that in general, will be a cultural and gastronomic experience that no one should miss.

Bogotá has undoubtedly become one of the most recognized cities in the world when it comes to gastronomy. For this reason, BogotáEats, Spin Agency and Move Concerts decided to organize this festival by inviting 30 restaurants that will offer Bogota diners all kinds of risky and different proposals.

“We will have 20 of the best burgers in Bogota in Parque El Chicó, but in addition, 10 other important restaurants in the capital that are not burger restaurants will be part of Burgerville, and they will create a hamburger specially designed for this occasion,” said Alejandro Escallón, CEO of BogotáEATS.

Each restaurant will have a hamburger proposal with prices ranging from 12,000 to 18,000 pesos. In addition, they will be medium-sized dishes, so that the attendees can be satisfied, but also, so that they can have the opportunity to try all kinds of proposals on every day of the festival.

It is worth mentioning that there will be a wide variety of burgers to try: that means that in addition to the classic beef burger, visitors will be able to find proposals with other ingredients and even vegetarian burgers.

“We set a weight limit, they cannot exceed 100 grams, because the idea, as in A Cielo Abierto, is that people can go and try several proposals. We will also have a dessert area to which we invite well-known pastry sites,” added Alejandro Escallón.

But in addition to the dining experience, Burgerville attendees will be able to enjoy the best of live music. According to the general director of BogotáEATS: “As if that were not enough, we have a person dedicated exclusively to music curation, so every detail of what is going to sound like at this festival is carefully planned.”

A tribute to a special decade

According to the organizers of this event, this will be a tribute to the 1950s in the United States, which made this iconic product that revolutionized the world into fashion.

“The 1950s were full of events that changed the course of history: World War II is over, the first Formula 1 race takes place, the space race begins, the world plays like crazy in the acclaimed baby boom and icons such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe become famous. It's the decade of drive-ins, rock and roll, the start of James Bond, Queen Elizabeth, and it's also the decade of burgers.”
