The Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) began operations on March 21, where President Andrés Manuel López Obrador himself assured that the works are 100% complete and added that the terminal has the most advanced technology, however, journalist Carlos Loret de Mola explained in his column on this Tuesday some details that in your consideration make it clear that this work is incomplete and its inauguration is an X-ray of the government of Morena.
The journalist stressed that two days before the inauguration, documents were revealed in which the Army itself asked the federal government to postpone the date because the central runway and customs were not ready, considering that immigration facilities are a requirement for an airport to receive flights international. He added that cables and pipes were still visible on the roofs.
Loret stressed that the inaugural flight to the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, took off late and that the first planes to arrive at this terminal were filled with workers, which he described as the first “aero-haul in the country's history.”
He also stressed that the “people's airport” has few access roads and that even some journalists close to the government, such as Lord Molecule, were lost for several hours due to confusions in the signage. On this last point, Carlos Loret ironized that President López Obrador made the transfer in just 40 minutes from the National Palace because he did it at 5 in the morning and on a holiday, where traffic is low.
In the column published in El Universal, Loret de Mola said that the AIFA baths presented water problems and questioned where the wastewater was going because the sanitary networks and the treatment plant are scheduled to be completed in full until July. He also rescued the photographs that circulated on social networks showing that the food establishments were not ready to offer food, a situation in which some street stalls were the focus of attention of the attendees in search of a snack to mitigate hunger.
The journalist assured that the authorities “let the emergency pass” a lady who sold tlayudas, who he said should put a place on it because it is a more attractive food than fast food. The topic of this saleswoman was one of the most viral points on social networks, to the point that President López Obrador took up the subject at his morning conference on March 22 and reproached that journalists such as Azucena Uresti disseminated it, considering that criticism of the informal sale of this product within the facilities denotes the classism that conservatives maintain.
Loret de Mola, identified as a critic of the labor government, questioned the haste at its inauguration and explained more details such as the fact that walls were missing and electrical contacts were faulty. He highlighted the few transport options to get to and from the airport and that the hotel facilities will be ready until July.
He also questioned federal government officials who during the ceremony welcomed with hugs to “businessmen committed to Mexico” when in the past they identified them as “the mafia of power.”
For Loret de Mola, the most attractive thing about Felipe Ángeles is the mammoth museum and he assured that in its construction, the army hired some shell companies to buy some materials.
On criticism against the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport,” President López Obrador said Tuesday that conservatives are very upset because the government showed its ability to develop one of the most modern and highest quality airports in the world in record time, which is ready to receive airlines and carry millions of passengers. Carlos Loret de Mola contrasted that the leadership of the army that will manage this terminal acknowledged that the AIFA will be at 100% in a few more years.
