The heated short circuit between Sebastián Vignolo and Horacio Pagani after the Superclassic: “I'm not here to be a preceptor”

A tense moment was experienced in the program Pasión por el fútbol (Channel 13) when Sebastián Vignolo and Horacio Pagani had a strong crossing for the debate of the mistake that the River Plate players made in the goal of Boca Juniors, who won 1-0 in the Superclassic played at the Monumental Stadium. The journalist wanted to highlight the pressure made by the author of the goal, Sebastián Villa, but used a derogatory term to describe Leandro González Pirez and Franco Armani.

It all started when Nicolás Distasio, another member of the panel, said that Xeneize found the score for the error of the Millionario's fund in stating that “it was a goal that (Boca) did not generate”. That's when Pagani demanded that the Colombian striker be given credit, but he used the word that generated the crossing: “Give credit to the goalscorer, old man. He passed them to the two marmots who were there, he made, ticked, scored.”

“You're disrespectful, how are you going to call a football player a groundhog?” , the panelist linked to the Núñez club told him, while Vignolo did not like the qualification of the journalist experiment: “No, no, no, a lack of respect. That's no way to refer to anyone, let alone a footballer.”

Pagani did not lag behind and shot Pollo: “You proceed the same way in every case. The other day, two weeks ago, you didn't do the same,” he said, referring to the day that Distasio accused him of being a fan of Boca Juniors.

But Vignolo did not take that accusation and reminded Pagani of his ways of running the program: “I will explain to him again. It seems to me that he still didn't understand my way of driving. I am not a preceptor, nor a policeman who came to control him. We're big people. To call a player a groundhog is disrespectful.”

Pagani reflected and retracted his statement about the protagonists of River Plate: “I want to apologize for the groundhog thing, I got Groundhog Day, which is a movie. Forgive me, I didn't mean groundhog.”

The goal of the visit came from a side by Frank Fabra for Luis Vazquez, who held the ball and gave in depth to the Colombian. However, the pass of the youth striker, who entered the complement instead of Darío Benedetto, was not precise and the one who took the ball was Leandro González Pirez.

That's when the Millionaire's defense hesitated and made a rude shared mistake. The central defender sought to cover the ball so that the goalkeeper would come out to control without problems, but the latter did not understand it that way and was also somewhat away from the ball. At that moment, Villa anticipated González Pirez and after overcoming Armani with a little jump, he defined with the goal at his mercy.

It was the goal of the victory of Boca Juniors that reached the lead in Zone 2 of the League Cup with Estudiantes de La Plata, which he also won by the slightest difference last Sunday. Sebastian Battaglia's team won two fundamental victories as a visitor and asserted itself as a candidate.
