BERLIN (AP) — A union called security personnel from eight airports in Germany on Monday to a work stoppage on Tuesday due to a wage dispute.
The call of the ver.di union sets the stage for another round of stoppages after last week's at several airports.
Ver.di called private security personnel on strike in Frankfurt, Germany's busiest airport, as well as in Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover, Stuttgart, Duesseldorf and Cologne-Bonn, the news agency dpa reported.
Fraport, which operates Frankfurt airport, said that no passenger who needs to start their journey at the airport will be able to board there.
The warning stoppages come ahead of a fifth round of talks between the union and employers scheduled for Thursday.
