Meanwhile, 21 is also a holiday in the workplace because it is a day of leave that must be granted to all workers in the country. However, if work is required, the hours granted will have to be reflected in an extra payment for providing their services.

According to article 75 of the Federal Labour Act, employees shall have the right to be paid, regardless of their salary for compulsory rest, a double salary for the service rendered.

If the worker does not provide his services every day of the week or on the same day or in the same week or in the same week he or she provides his services to several employers, then he/she is entitled to be paid the proportional part of the salary for the days of rest, calculated on the salary of the days on which he or she worked.

It is important to point out that holidays are established as official breaks in the country, that is, both workers and students must stop their activities during this period. Unless some employees enter into a mutual agreement with their employer to provide their services, in exchange for an extra outlay of money.

The long weekend began from last Friday, March 18, since due to the administrative discharge, the date is given to the teaching staff so that they can carry out specific activities such as setting the grades of their students.

Later, it will be extended to Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Monday 21 March, this last day corresponds to a holiday, for the anniversary of the birth of Don Benito Juárez.
