Over the weekend, the region witnessed the start of the Latin American League of Legends playoffs. On Sunday, the last bo5 (best of five) was defined with Team Aze's crushing 3-0 victory against the 2021 bi-champion, INFINITY. It was a surprise takeoff in the winners key, where Rainbow7, the clear favorite, also fell sharply to Estral Esports.
In Team Aze, the roster made up of Lonely, Dimitry, Aloned, 5Kid, Straight was assembled at the beginning of the first split, after the organization decided to replace all its players. The only trace of the undefeated team - coming from the Telcel Honor Division of Mexico that promoted to the LLA - is its strategic coach, UKFallen.
In their last two regular matches, Team Aze defeated INFINITY and kept their streak intact in their playoff crossing. Although the infinity jungler, SolidSnake, was confident in its possibilities in the series preview, the Playing Card was completely overwhelming. For its part, UKFallen assured that the format is its specialty. Added to that, as a clearly effective formula, was the presence of experienced players and a staff capable of accompanying the less prepared.
With surprises in the winners key and Isurus' victory against XTEN Esports by 3-1 in the lower bracket, Aze and Estral will face each other in the final of the winner's key, but first the elimination match between INFINITY and Isurus will be resolved. The winner must face Rainbow7 for a place in the final of the lower key.
The match between ISG and INF will take place next Saturday and, as always, the transmission will start from 14 MX; 15 CO/PE, 17 AR/CL. The broadcasts can be followed on LLA's official Twitch channel, YouTube, TV Azteca (in Mexico), Viax Esports (in Chile) and Trovo.
