Colombia is a diverse country, with incredible places to visit, and it also has several beaches in different parts of its territory, which are ideal to enjoy with family, friends or as a couple.

Like other countries, it has a nudist beach, which many do not know exists or do not imagine that, in a country that is still very conservative, there is such a place, where you can walk just as you came to the world, without ties.

This is Boca del Saco, located in the Tayrona National Natural Park, an area near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, which is part of the Colombian Caribbean.

“Legally it is not constituted as a nudist beach, but visitors tend to practice this modality, since it is not a very crowded beach. Swimming is not allowed, but you can enjoy the water on its banks with great caution,” says the same park.

Despite the clarification, due to its remoteness and low turnout, many tourists and visitors from home and abroad come there to get a full tan or go topless.

It is three hours from the entrance of the nature reserve and must pass through the beaches Cañaveral, Arrecifes, Arenilla, the swimming pool sector, Cabo San Juan and Playa del Medio. From Cabo San Juan you have to walk a 15-minute trail.

Boca del Saco is a beach where visitors will be dazzled by an extensive strip of white sand, contrasted by the intense green vegetation that surrounds it and the thick jungle that can be seen in the background. Keep in mind, that this beach is not suitable for bathers.

It is noteworthy that, after the economic losses and other consequences that the pandemic brought, after almost two years, tourism that was one of the hardest hit sectors recovered and in 2021 was classified by the Ministry of Commerce as “the year of reactivation”.

The Ministry said that Colombian tourism would only fully recover until the end of 2022. According to the portfolio, there was a recovery of the accumulated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of accommodation and catering in the country, since between January and September 2021, they reported $22.86 billion pesos.

It is noteworthy that the annual cumulative number of hotel occupancy in Colombia in 2019 was 56.96%, that is, almost 57%, while in 2021 the figure was between 41.5% and 42%.

As for the arrival of international travelers in 2021, the country exceeded the goal set for that year, as it was estimated that 1,150,000 visitors would arrive, however, by October 1,418,000 passengers had already landed on the national territory.

In 2021, the cities most visited by international travelers were Bogotá, a city that hosts between 71% and 72% of the country's international air traffic; followed by Medellin, Cartagena, Cali and Barranquilla.
