The leak of the admission examination of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) and the subsequent cancellation of the admission process has the rector of that house of studies, Jeri Ramón, whom they hope to bring to Congress to answer for irregularities in the which has harmed thousands of applicants who even traveled from the interior of the country to Lima in the hope of reaching a vacancy.
The request was made by Morado Party Congresswoman Flor Pablo Medina, who said through her Twitter account that she asked the Education Commission to quote Jeri Ramón.
“I have asked the Education Commission to convene the rector of UNMSM to report on the leak of the admission examination, the measures taken to punish those who are responsible and the actions to compensate the harm caused to the thousands of students,” he said.
“He urged Sunedu, within its competence, to monitor what happened. I urge fellow congressmen to join this call from students and families who have invested expectations, time and money,” he added.

STUDENTS CLAIM
This Monday morning, dozens of applicants who had reached a vacancy for the Dean of America in the cancellation process protested outside the office of the UNMSM Admission Center, located in Cercado de Lima.
Several of them who had already entered, held and even cut their hair, found out after the exam had been cancelled.
“Everything that is happening now hurts me a lot, because I sacrificed a lot to reach this vacancy,” an entrant from the Huancavelica region told Canal N.
A mother said that her daughter, who had entered the Faculty of Mathematics, is now depressed and locked in her room. “(My daughter) was admitted a week ago. He's already paid the tuition. Now my daughter is locked up because they've played with her emotions. It has been prepared for two years. How can it be? ”, he said through tears.
“After she took the exam, she rested. He told me 'Mom, I've already fulfilled my dreams'. Now my daughter is in bad shape,” he added.
Other students called for a dialogue table with the rector and pointed out that they have not received a response so far.
CANCELLED EXAM
Last Saturday, the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos cancelled the 2022-II admission process, after the leak of the knowledge test required to enter this house of studies, reported the rector of the center of studies Jeri Ramón.
“In the absence of the prosecutor for crime prevention, the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos finds it necessary to declare the entire 2022-II admission process null and void because the evidence has been leaked during the hours of this examination,” he said at a press conference in the university city of the Dean of America.
Jeri Ramon said the measure is taken “to safeguard the prestige of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.”
“The payment (as entitlement to the admission exam) of applicants is assured and the exam will be scheduled for a new date, taking all the forecasts that have been made and to have,” he explained.
