Anabel Ferreira confessed to attempted abuse during her adolescence: “I could have killed myself”

The important histrionist and comedian, Anabel Ferreira, who was one of the most important women in comedy in Mexico in the 1980s, gave much to talk about in recent hours on March 20, because she confessed that during her adolescence she was almost the victim of sexual abuse.

It was through her Twitter account that the Mexican actress publicized this moment of gender violence at the hands of one of her partners, assuring that she almost became a victim of abuse when she was only 19 years old.

Later, and in the same message, the comedian added that she was able to escape after she jumped the terrace, so she could have died: “I managed to jump from the terrace of a 17th floor to the next one, but I could have killed myself,” Ferreira stressed.

Inside the comment box, some users regretted that the 59-year-old actress lived that during her youth: “I embrace her from the soul”, “How barbaric!” and “There's always a jerk. Strong hug. #NoSignificaNo”, were some comments retrieved from Twitter.

On the other hand, in the comment bar she was questioned by a user who asked her why she did not want to report it at the time and the actress who recently participated as part of the cast of La Casa de las Flores pointed out that her attacker contracted cancer and died.

The career of the Mexican actress began when she was 19 years old, since then she began to attract attention for her ease of speech and sympathy. One of the first projects he was on was Cachún Cachún Ra Ra! , produced by Luis de Llano Macedo and Marco Flavio Cruz in 1981.

Seven years later, the actress began to gain fans on the small screen and managed to get her first titular show called Anabel!. There, the historian managed to get her sketches recognized throughout the country and was accompanied by some of the most important characters in Mexican comedy, such as Eugenio Derbez and Mario Bezares.

From 1989 to 1994, the program and Anabel received several TVyNovelas awards, but their success stopped when, unexpectedly, in 1996 their comic capsules stopped broadcasting.

For many years it was rumored that the histrionist had creative problems with Televisa, until a few decades later, Anabel Ferreira detailed that her departure was due to her diagnosis, atypical trigeminal neuralgia. This disease caused him to suffer problems in the muscles of his face, sometimes his jaw moved in a strange way or his mouth became paralyzed.

It was until 2000 that the comedian tried her luck again on the small screen, but when she knocked on doors on Televisa, she was not welcomed with open arms, this because the changes in management within the company led to changes in the type of programs they were focused on.

He decided to go to TV Azteca, where he hosted his own show Buenas Noches with Anabel, so he returned to television. His last work dates back to 2018, when he was part of the cast that starred in the Netflix series La Casa de Las Flores and has participated in different theatrical plays.
