Just a few hours before the inauguration of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), a project promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), some of the country's most popular bus and passenger lines have already announced their operations to make routes to the new Santa Lucia airport.
In this regard, the routes announced by the different bus companies are considering some routes to get to AIFA from power stations located in Mexico City (CDMX), as well as in the states of Morelos, State of Mexico (Edomex), Puebla and Querétaro. Routes from the municipalities of Pachuca, Poza Rica and Tuxpan are also being taken into account.
One of the lines that will transfer passengers from Toluca, Edomex, is Transportes Caminante and the estimated travel time is three hours. These will be the fares and departures that the bus line will handle:
1. Santa Fe Courtyard - AIFA: 150 pesos
2. Central West - AIFA: 125 pesos
3. Tollocan - AIFA: 350 pesos
Likewise, for people departing from Puebla and wanting to reach AIFA facilities, and vice versa, the Estrella Roja bus line indicated that there will be two routes that will start operating from March 21. So far, only three daily trips to Santa Lucia, Zumpango have been announced and the price will be 430 pesos and these will be the routes:
1. Puebla Bus Station (CAPU) to AIFA at 05:30 hours.
2. Destination trip to AIFA at 06:00 hours.
3. AIFA to CAPU or to Paseo Destino at 14:30 hours.
For its part, the Pullman de Morelos bus line announced on its social networks that passengers can now purchase their tickets to get from Cuernavaca Casino to AIFA and the cost of the ticket will be 500 pesos.
In the case of the Estrella Blanca line, the company announced that it will follow two routes to reach the new airport, which will leave Pachuca and the North Bus Station. Although it was not specified what the cost of the ticket departing from the state of Hidalgo will be, the price that the bus company will handle from Central del Norte to AIFA will be 125 pesos.
The Autobuses de Oriente company, popularly known as ADO, also pointed out that there will be several routes to get to AIFA and that the units will depart from different cities, including Puebla, Pachuca, Poza Rica and Tuxpan. Finally, Primera Plus indicated that it will offer passenger transportation to AIFA from Querétaro and from San Juan del Río, whose fares will be 347 and 257 pesos, respectively.
Recently, the Government of Mexico announced through its official Twitter account what will be the fares and routes that will be available in CDMX and in some areas of the Edomex to reach AIFA.
Thus, it was pointed out that there will be ten different routes and that the price of the transfer to Saint Lucia will range from 18 to 150 pesos. This is how the fare will be based on the time of transfer and the place where the tour will start or end, as the case may be and the routes will depart from Perisur, World Trade Center, Santa Fe, Mundo E, Cuautitlán, AICM, National Auditorium, Indios Verdes, Ciudad Azteca and the Bullfighting of Cuatro Caminos.
