In Bogotá, a guarantee control judge legalized the capture of Milton Libardo Jiménez Arboleda, who would be the first guardian of INPEC, arrested for the escape of Juan Larrinson Castro Estupiñán, alias' Matamba ', the extraditable one, who is the right-hand man of the leader of the Gulf Clan, from La Picota prison.

Jiménez Arboleda was the inspector on duty when the capo fled. Apparently, he would have facilitated it, since he would have left the door open where 'Matamba' came out, wearing garments for the exclusive use of custody personnel.

The capture of Jiménez took place last Friday, and 10 million pesos were seized during the raid. Likewise, the judge for the control of guarantees declared legal the confiscation of the money for purposes of confiscation and the request for suspension of the power of disposition.

For now, it is expected that next Tuesday the Prosecutor's Office will charge Jiménez with the crime of favoring escape. The prosecutor also reported that the escape was reported by Inpec itself after the usual count of prisoners that was brought forward last Friday morning, March 18, during the changing of the guard.

And within the accusatory material that the Prosecutor's Office has there is a video, which is a key piece in the investigation, in which it is seen that Jiménez, at 11:17 in the evening of March 17, leaves for a moment, returns and squints the gate without adjusting it and around 12:00 in the morning on Friday, March 18, alias Matamba walks out the door. The criminal came out with Inpec's clothes and a jacket with which he covered his face.

It is noteworthy that with the escape from Matamba, 55 dragonists from La Picota prison were suspended and an investigation will be opened, together with the prison director, Javier Papa and Deputy Director Oscar Murillo. It is presumed that the security guard was given bribes worth 10 billion pesos.

In addition, Matamba had some benefits in his cell, since he had a refrigerator, a television, two boxes of fine liquor and branded clothes and shoes, whose cost per pair was over 4 million pesos.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, since the escape of the alleged leader of the Gulf Clan, who is a partner of 'Otoniel', a specialized team of investigators and prosecutors who are advancing in the investigation of the events has been assigned.

For his part, in view of the situation, the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, stated that “President Duque clearly gave three instructions to all entities of the Government, with regard to the Ministry of Defence, in particular our Police, it is up to us to work in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office on the recapture of alias' Matamba '”, pointed out.

He added: “We know the responsibility we have in the matter, so an intelligence capsule was articulated that works all the time until he gets his apprehension again.”

Faced with the situation, President Iván Duque referred to the case and commented: “First of all I have indignation, and what is going to happen are several things.
