The president of La Liga de España was excited about Messi's return and put pressure on Barcelona

Real Madrid and Barcelona will once again face each other in one of the most anticipated Classics in the world, not because of the proper names of both teams but because of the sporting situation in which both teams find themselves.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are no longer there and although both entities are at a good football level, the lack of renowned figures is an important point in the sale of the event abroad.

The president of the Spanish football championship Javier Tebas spoke recently about this, who spoke in favor of a hypothetical return of the Argentine star to FC Barcelona: “I think it would be good economically”, he acknowledged in dialogue with ESPN.

The elimination of Champions League and the boos in the match after both him and Neymar, aroused rumors about a possible return of La Pulga to Barcelona, something that could hardly happen, but nothing has been said in football until the last minute.

“Which player would I like to see in La Liga? Messi. I think Messi has two or three years left at a really good level. In 80% of what we have seen, Messi is still at the highest level,” said the Spanish director of the Rosarino football present in Paris.

“If I could see Messi back in Spain, I'd be delighted. I think Messi would return to Barcelona if he came back in very different economic terms. I think the marriage between Messi and Barcelona was perfect and I think that reconciliation would generate important economic synergies for both parties. I think it would be good at an economic level, at a sports level I have no idea, I can't analyze that side of things or the wardrobe”, he said.

These statements came at the same time as those made by Xavi Hernández himself when he was consulted on this issue at the press conference prior to the match against Real Madrid: “The doors are open”.

“He is the best player in history and obviously in the history of the club, he has earned the right to see the club's doors open,” Xavi began with regard to his former teammate. As long as I am the coach here, as if he wants to come every day.”

“What he has given us is priceless. I think we owe him a big tribute as a club, because he deserves it. From there, he has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
