A little less than an hour before the meeting between River Plate and Boca Juniors, there was a moment of great tension and fear in several millionaire supporters. On one of the accesses to the Monumental, more precisely on Udaondo Street, a group forced the perimeter fence and there were bullfights in the adyasencias of the stadium.
Federal Police and private security personnel had to act and several of them took fists with some fans. As reported by TYC Sports, it would be part of the River Plate breakaway bar. Many other millionaire supporters had to run for shelter and there was a moment of great tension and fear.
Women and seniors exhibited their tickets, but security prevented them from passing because there were several people who did not contain their respective tickets and tried to enter the stadium by force. For this reason, for several minutes those accesses to the Monumental were closed.
Earlier, River Plate had shared a statement informing that it will sanction members who tried to enter the Monumental Stadium “without an enabled entry” to watch the Superclassic against Boca for the 7th date of the Professional League Cup.
The sanction will have a period of six months, with a ban on entry to the club and the stadium, River said in a statement. Millionaire authorities will take into account the information recorded on the windlasses. These indicate which cards were supported and rejected because they were not enabled.
Members must have the “Your Place in the Monumental” ticket or have purchased the tickets provided by the club for the Somos River community on the RiverID page.
