The quartet composed by Bruno Hortelano, Iñaki Cañal, Manuel Guijarro and Bernat Erta ended with a time of 3:06 .82.
They were overtaken by Belgium (Julien Watrin, Alexander Doom, Jonathan Sacoor, Kevin Borlée), who won gold with a time of 3:06 .52, while bronze went to Holland (Taymir Burnet, Nick Smidt, Terrence Agard, Tony Van Diepen), with 3:06 .90.
For Spain it is the second medal in the indoor world championship in the Serbian capital, after Mariano García's gold in 800 meters on Saturday.
