A man who escaped from a command in Oaxaca about a month ago, and whose whereabouts have since been reported unknown, appeared dead this Friday, March 18, in the Cañada region, located in the Mazatecan area of Huautla de Jiménez, in the state of Oaxaca.
The Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca initiated the investigation folder 9283/FNSC/HUAUTLA/2022 for the crime of homicide and pledged to conduct a “unbiased” and “truth-bound” investigation to clarify the death of 32-year-old José Luis G.
On February 21, elements of the State Investigation Agency (AEI) executed an arrest warrant against José Luis for his probable responsibility for the commission of the crime of injury. However, the accused escaped from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Huautla de Jiménez when he was making his report.
At that time, an AEI commander reported the leak, but it was the relatives who came to request support to locate him. José Luis's wife initiated a report for his disappearance, which is contained in document 12/FNSC/DNOL-HUAUTLA/2022.
After this report, the search began with the accompaniment of the Deputy Attorney General for Regional Control and AEI elements, as well as the relatives of the disappeared person.
His body was found in a state of decomposition in a dirt track located in the vicinity of the New Pantheon of Huautla de Jiménez. The forensic staff who performed the autopsy determined that José Luis died from internal bleeding due to contusion.
The legislature doctor detailed that he also had a fracture in the ankle and injuries to the ribs. The doctors who performed the procedure indicated that there is a high probability that such injuries were caused by a fall.
However, the final results of the necropsy have not yet been completed and therefore it remains to be confirmed whether it was indeed an accident.
