ORIGIN OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS

The origin of the International Day of Happiness has a unique history. It was the Kingdom of Bhutan, a small country in South Asia, in the Himalayas, that proposed this day to the United Nations.

According to the story of that date, it turns out that the king of Bhutan more than 40 years ago, and when he was only 16, he decided that the philosophy of his government should be based on the happiness of his subjects.

This day is also to recognize the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal aspirations of human beings and the importance of their inclusion in the government policies.

In other words, it is a day that also celebrates inclusion and, therefore, requires that all governments of the world bear in mind happiness as part of their social and economic policies, so that in this way there can be true equity and collective well-being, which, in the long run, helps to achieve the long-awaited happiness that the whole human race longs for and even more today that the whole world is advancing rapidly, saturating people's lives and taking away from them time to work on themselves and spend time with those they love most.

Each person is very different, and that is why they can find happiness in different activities, whether individually or in groups. For example, it can cause a lot of happiness for someone to go to eat their favorite dessert in a certain place, while others spend time with family or friends can generate a very joyful moment.

On the other hand, there are people who are comforted to read about it, or simply seek guidance on how to achieve happiness.
