Already with the entry to the World Cup in the secured category, the Colombian under-17 women's football team went to the Charrúa Stadium, in Montevideo (Uruguay) to face Brazil for the South American title. The world championship in which the Colombians will be playing will be held from October 11 to 30 in India. The headquarters are Calcutta, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai.

The only result that the Colombian team could use to win the tournament by points was victory. With the premise of winning, those directed by Carlos Paniagua came out. The first 45 minutes were even. The two teams reached the third match of the final phase, after defeating Chile and Paraguay. For better goal difference, the Brazilians could use the draw to be crowned champions.

The national team thus jumped onto the playing field: Luisa Agudelo, Ana Maria Guzman, Sintia Cabezas; Stefania Perlaza; Mary Jose Alvarez; Cristiana Motta; Juana Ortegón; Gabriela Rodríguez; Karla Torres; Yesica Muñoz and Linda Caicedo.

While these eleven were the headlines in Brazil: Elu, Guta, Grazy; Kedima; Luana; Lara; Ana Julia; Carol; Aline; Dudinha and Jhonson.

Fearlessly and boldly, the Colombian players were intense in their attacks and Linda Caicedo, the national figure, was the leader of a team that sought the goal in the first minutes of the match. But a great rival defense prevented Colombian attacks. And Brazil, the continent's great power, also showed its weapons.

Colombian goalkeeper Luisa Agudelo was one of the great figures in the party. The 14-year-old Vallecaucana, three times, prevented Luana, the great figure of the tournament, from the goal cry. But the game, the very good Colombian game, in the first 45 minutes, lacked luck. Three clear options that could not be realized were the result of a team that tried it by all means.

Although both teams were trying to reach the opposite goal, the lucidity of the attackers went out with the passage of the minutes and so on, the first half was finished 0-0.

The first minutes of the second half were more of the same. A national team trying all over the front line. The good combinations of Caicedo and Karla Torres did not end well. In the 75th minute, in a quick start from Brazil, Ana Maria Guzman failed to cut a pass for Rhaissa, who received alone in front of goalkeeper Agudelo and defined between her legs to open the score.

Colombia tried to react in the final minutes, but Brazil took control of the game and handled the ball better to create more danger options and keep the game away from its goalkeeper. The ones led by Simone Jatobá not only won all the matches they played, but they did not receive goals in any of them and showed themselves as a steamer in the lead. The champions scored 33 goals in seven matches with an average of more than 5 goals per game, most of which were converted by Jhonson, one of the great figures in the competition.

With this result, the Colombia National Team finishes in the second square of the final home run with six units and qualified for the India 2022 U17 World Cup to be played in October. Brazil was crowned champion with nine units and Chile closed the podium after beating Paraguay 2-0 in the last game.
