Bruno Ascenzo, director of Until we meet again: “Thank you for your good and bad comments, they help me continue to grow and learn”

The actor and director of Until we meet again, Bruno Ascenzo, expressed everything that having directed this project means to him. He also referred to the criticism that the film has received.

Since the film Until We Meet Stephanie Cayo as the protagonist was announced, many criticisms have been generated, because according to users they do not feel represented by the actress due to her features. It should be noted that since March 18, audiences from different countries can watch the tape through Netflix.

Since that date, the film has received good reviews regarding the plot, however, it has been questioned by the casting made. Faced with this, director Bruno Ascenzo did not hesitate to speak out through his Instagram account. The director expressed how much this production means to him.

“It's been a year since we started recording this story without knowing that it would become a tremendous journey. On global platforms that we never imagined walking on, amid harsh restrictions due to shooting in the midst of a pandemic, fighting and crying at 4600masl, and humbly accepting all kinds of criticism and comments, that day has finally come that we knew -but never believed- would come,” the actor began in his post.

“I am excited to write this and it is difficult for me to match words. I only find words of gratitude and gratitude for all those who made it possible,” he added.

BRUNO ASCENZO CLOSES THE CIRCLE WITH THIS FILM

Ascenzo pointed out that with the release of the film it finally closes a circle, and that he hopes that audiences from different countries will be enchanted by the wonders of our country.

“I have had the honor of leading a 100% Peruvian team, in front of and behind the scenes, and I hope I lived up to their talents, and to the beauty and generosity of our beautiful country. More than 222 million users in more than 190 countries will be able to see the wonders of Peru in their homes. For me today a circle is closed with which the life of Until we meet again, once Backpackers”, he said.

“I sincerely hope that you like this love story and that you feel proud of the wonderful country that saw us born, that hosts us and which we are obliged to care for with love, respect and empathy,” he added.
