With Erling Haaland still not regaining their scoring nose, Borussia Dortmund (2nd) tied 1-1 on their visit to Cologne, this Sunday at the close of matchday 27, and are now 6 points behind the leader, Bayern Munich, who beat Union Berlin 4-0 on Saturday.
Dortmund, which had been approaching the Bavarian giant in recent weeks, is now taking a step back, as they had started the weekend four points behind the first place.
There are seven rounds left to go and Borussia Dortmund must still visit Bayern Munich in April, which seems to be in a favorable position to win a tenth consecutive title in the German championship.
In Sunday's match, Borussia Dortmund opened the scoring in Cologne in the 8th minute, through Marius Wolf, thrown in depth to the limit of the offside by Englishman Jude Bellingham from his own field.
But Colonia (7th) then won the equalizer, in the 36th minute, when Sebastian Andersson hit volley after teammate Anthony Modeste had played headlong in the box.
Haaland had several occasions, but without fortune. The 21-year-old Norwegian prodigy has been unscored for three league matches in a row, something that had not happened to him since his signing for Borussia Dortmund in January 2020.
Behind Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen are now nine points behind after winning 2-0 at Wolfsburg (12th), with a double by Brazilian Paulinho, who scored his goals in the last minutes (86, 90+2).
Bayer Leverkusen extends to three points their lead over RB Leipzig (4th), which equalized 0-0 this Sunday at home against Eintracht Frankfurt (8th), and over Freiburg (5th), which also tied 0-0, in their case on Saturday against the lead Greuther Fürth.
