NEW YORK (AP) — Puerto Rican shortstop Carlos Correa agreed early Saturday to a $105.3 million three-year contract with the Minnesota Twins, closing a seven-season leg with the Houston Astros, one knowledgeable person told The Associated Press.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement is subject to Correa passing a medical examination.
Correa will earn $35.3 million annually and can terminate the agreement after the 2022 and 2023 seasons to become a free agent again.
