Sex in the Metaverse: what will it be like and why it will revolutionize sexual relations

Technology has changed all walks of life, and the pandemic has made that very clear. Digital life is not only here to stay, but to evolve the way we interact, and that includes sexual relations, which will also have their place in the Metaverse.

In recent years, the metaverse has been one of the main topics of conversation, promising to have everything from customizable avatars to shops, stadiums and grounds where people can “build” and have a life parallel to physics there.

The digitization forced with the pandemic, not only taught that technology is essential for study, work and entertainment, but for sex. Beyond being a morbid subject, it is part of human life; people had to adapt to confinement, experiencing new ways of leading their sex lives.

With the metaverse, instead of sending each other videos, photographs or having a video call for a sexual encounter, people will be able to have relationships through their avatars.

“People in long-distance relationships could also have sex in the metaverse more than in real life, so they don't lose that physical connection. Doing it in the metaverse will become a personal preference for how people will like to go crazy,” he added.
