Peruvian salsa boat Brunella Torpoco has had to make the difficult decision to give up her dreams due to death threats he has been receiving and for the attack that his mother suffered last Thursday. After making public his departure from the stage through a statement, several national artists have decided to show him all their support on social networks.
Daniela Darcourt was one of them. The performer of “Señor Lie” regretted that Torpoco is being a victim of mafias that charge quotas, as this has ended up truncating her growing musical career. In turn, he wished him the best wishes in case he changes his mind and returns to give concerts.
“Mamacita linda, what a rage it is that a young woman full of such talent and desire has to truncate her dreams for unscrupulous people who are only looking for a personal end. I think, on behalf of everyone, you have the unconditional support for when you decide to return, my dear. Rain of blessings for you, ” wrote the gravy boat.
Likewise, the leader of Son Tentación, Paula Arias, said: “Queen, you are very strong, capable and talented. Don't let anything or anyone turn off your voice, let alone leave your dreams. You have for so much more. This is just starting for your career. I went through all that and against all odds I continued to fight for my dreams and goals. You are now an excellent representative of a new salsa generation. We are here to support you. Come on, you can.”
Yahaira Plasencia was also present on Instagram. In this case, the 'queen of toto' asked God for protection for Brunella's family. Let's remember that the extortionists claimed that Torpoco's mother would be the next victim, which is why the singer decided to retire without thinking twice to protect the welfare of her father.
“All our support, Brunella. A lot of strength and wisdom. This is going to happen! May God protect you and yours”, was Plasencia's message.
Ernesto Pimentel, presenter, comedian and known for his character La Chola Chabuca, asked the Peruvian National Police (PNP) to take action on the matter. “Brunella, a lot of strength and my wish that the authorities give us the security that Peru needs. A hug to all your big family, musicians and followers,” he said.
Giovanna Valcárcel, former host of Women in Command, dedicated a tender message to him: “You are great and you will be more and more so every day. I respect you and admire your talent and voice like all of Peru. A lot of peace right now to be able to make the best decisions.”
“My Brune. You proved to be a strong and feisty person. Your audience will always wait for you. Let's go. Up those spirits Brune beautiful, many forces,” wrote singer Kassandra Chanamé, one of the main voices of the cumbia orchestra Papillón.
WHAT ARE THE AUTHORITIES DOING?
In an interview with Prensa Callao, Brunella Torpoco's mother confessed with great regret that the police have just begun to guard her house located in Callao after the second attack. However, this is not the first time criminals have intimidated his family.
“My daughter works. After a long time these reprisals have returned. You can say that I fear for my life, but here I am. For those who want easy money, they're going to have to kill me,” said the woman.
It should be noted that the first attack occurred in November 2021. At that time, a motorized vehicle fired 5 times in the air and twice Brunella's car as a kind of warning. The PNP claimed to be investigating the case, but no further details were provided thereafter.
