The first Dreamworks production that came out this year is called The Bad Guys, a film starring anthropomorphic animals about a group of criminals who try to become good people and only attract more disasters into their lives. It was released on March 17 in cinemas in Latin America and will arrive in the United States on April 22.
This is the official synopsis of the film: “A prisoner transport bus capsizes in an accident, allowing dangerous inmates to escape and escape. The police, desperate and against time, decide to group a special crime investigation team.” Pierre Perifel (in his directorial debut) is the filmmaker behind this computer-animated comedy produced by DreamWorks Animation and Scholastic Entertainment.
The story was based on the literary series The Bad Guys, by Australian writer Aaron Blabey. Graphic novels for children focus on a group of animals that try to do good to change society's perception of them, however, this will not be easy as long as they scream or run away every time they see them. The first book was officially presented in 2015 and the author continues to publish more adventures of these charismatic characters to the present day.
