Vehicle ownership in CDMX and Edomex: how to get the 100% discount this year

The term for payment of vehicle ownership is about to expire, so in this digital space we will remember what the deadline is to make it, and how to get the 100 percent discount for this year.

The Secretariat of Administration and Finance of Mexico City reported that motorists must deposit the endorsement before the established date, in order to access the benefit.

According to the Secretariat, once the payment corresponding to the endorsement has been covered, a 100% discount on vehicle ownership will be granted.

However, citizens will also have to take into account certain requirements, in order to apply and obtain the discount.

What are the requirements?

-It will be granted to individuals and corporations not for profit.

-You can apply for cars whose value does not exceed 250 thousand pesos (including VAT and once the depreciation factor has been applied).

-Have the current circulation card, with a valid chip or make the payment corresponding to the renewal.

-Do not have tenure debts from previous years.

What is the deadline for payment?

Interested parties will have the period to make the disbursement until March 31 of this year, in order to be able to validate it.

It should be remembered that this year, the amount of the endorsement payment is 628 pesos, in accordance with article 219 of the Mexico City Tax Code.

What are the steps to pay?

*Motorists will be able to access the portal of the Secretariat of Administration and Finance. Here.

*Once there, you will have to click on Tenure.

*Write down the license plate of the vehicle (without spaces or dashes).

*Choose the fiscal year you want to pay.

*The invoice will then appear and you can choose to pay online.

*You will need to provide the card details to apply the payment and you will be able to print the receipt.

Tenence in the State of Mexico

In the case of Edomex motorists, the deadline for disbursing the payment of the endorsement is also until March 31, and all current payments corresponding to 2021 will be considered for accreditation.

What are the costs?

The cost of the vehicle endorsement is 742 pesos. It will be necessary to remember that if you do not pay the endorsement, then the price of the holding will have to be calculated based on: the model, year of the car and the depreciation factor that is updated each year.
