Four people were killed instantly and one was seriously injured after the car they were riding in was rammed by a locomotive on the Sarmiento train tracks, in the Moreno party.
The incident occurred this morning, at the height of the Rafaela level crossing, when a white Fiat Palio tried to cross the tracks when the barriers were low without warning that the formation was approaching. While there are still attempts to establish the causes of the incident, the firefighters who participated in the rescue declared that at first glance the barriers were “low and marked”, according to police sources to Infobae. The locomotive - which remains detained on the spot for the Buenos Aires Police to carry out the rigorous tests - was moving in the direction of the Mercedes match.
At the scene, SAME personnel were also present, who took the only injured person by ambulance to the Moreno Hospital.
The case is being investigated by UFI Number 4 of Moreno. The qualification, according to sources in the case, is wrongful death.
Yesterday, a formation of the Sarmiento train was the protagonist of an incident, at the height of Castelar, which also involved passengers.
One driver, who tried to cross with the low barrier, collided with the formation and unleashed the fury of the users because of the driver's irresponsibility his return home was delayed. The incident occurred after 18 hours, in the middle of rush hour.
Although the motorist was unharmed, he had to deal with the anger of the passengers who yelled at him and rebuked him for his actions. While talking to his cell phone and refusing to try to remove the vehicle from the tracks with the help of some of those present, many began to film what happened and share them on social networks.
“You screwed up our lives, you jerk”, is heard among the cries as well as applause and “alive” from others who preferred to use irony.
Among the insults of several men, one of them was heard saying that he wants to look for a stone to throw at him and also a woman who tried to dissuade him by saying that the man did not die and that he could hurt people. “[the train] would have killed him, this jerk screwed up our lives... You have to kill him,” shouted another.
Due to the careless maneuver of the driver, which in his action did not cause injuries or deaths, the service suffered several minutes of delay and also cancellations.
