Although the beloved series El Chavo del 8 only focuses on the humor and daily life of the inhabitants of a neighborhood, there is a rumor about an alleged stalker who entered - without permission - the film forum with the aim of frightening the cast.
This case came to light in 2017 when Ángel David Revilla, better known as Dross, published a compilation titled 3 scary videos; the last of which belonged to the emblematic Mexican series and showed the appearance of the alleged intruder at the end of the episode Feast of the Good Neighborhood.
In his video, the youtuber mentioned that “there was a time when a stalker or prowler entered the star program of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, it was said that actors and other collaborators (...) complained numerous times to the show's production team terrified of feeling the presence of a strange person”.
The information sparked all kinds of reactions from Dross's followers and also from fans of Chavo del 8, because it is true that in the recording you can see the head of a man peeking out from the corridor that led to the Second Courtyard.
It should be noted that, except for chapters such as Vacaciones en Acapulco and the scenes in Professor Jirafales' classroom, all episodes take place within the neighborhood, including the interior of the apartments. In addition, the beloved cast was fully identified by viewers, so any unusual element easily attracted attention.
However, it is false that the mysterious man was a stalker, marauder, ghost or intruder within the forum; in that same year, a portal made by Chespirito fans was tasked with contacting Edgar Vivar - who played Señor Barriga and Ñoño in the series - to ask him his opinion about the situation.
In one of the entries on the page VecindAdch, the famous actor was very indignant at the emergence of rumors and made it clear that the cast never complained about the presence of a strange person:
To finish denying this rumor, Edgar Vivar clarified that the man caught on the recording was someone belonging to the production staff itself or even one of the extra actors.
It should be noted that the VecindAdch portal recalled that the Good Neighbourhood Festival chapter had more actors and actresses on screen than usual because it was a special occasion in which all the inhabitants of the neighborhood had collaborated.
In this way it was clarified that the man who appears was simply another element of the party or, he could have been a member of the production that went through in the shot and the editors decided to leave it because it was natural that there were more people in that chapter.
The comic series of El Chavo del 8 was broadcast from 1971 to 1980 on Televisa and its success was such that it even had broadcasts to other Latin American countries - dubbing in the case of Brazil - the creation of Roberto Gómez Bolaños even became a benchmark for television humor before the people of the world.
In addition to Chespirito characterized as El Chavo, some of the actors who participated in this series are Florinda Meza as Doña Florinda, Ramón Valdes as Don Ramón, Carlos Villagran as Quico, Rubén Aguirre as Professor Giraffales, Maria Antoinette de las Nieves as La Chilindrina, Angelines Fernández such as Doña Cleotilde and Edgar Vivar as Ñoño and Mr. Barriga.
